Description
This refreshing 3-ingredient watermelon limeade is the perfect summer drink! Made with fresh watermelon, lime juice, and honey, it’s naturally sweet, healthy, and ready in just 5 minutes. Perfect for hot days, BBQs, and family gatherings.
Ingredients
4 cups fresh watermelon, cubed and seeded
1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2–3 limes)
2–3 tablespoons honey (or to taste)
Instructions
1. Cut watermelon into chunks, removing seeds and rind. You want about 4 cups of pure fruit.
2. Add watermelon chunks to your blender and pulse until completely smooth, about 30-45 seconds.
3. Pour through a fine-mesh strainer if you prefer a smoother texture (optional).
4. Stir in lime juice and honey. Start with 2 tablespoons of honey, then taste and adjust.
5. Pour over ice immediately or refrigerate for 30 minutes for best flavor.
Notes
Storage: Keep refrigerated for up to 3 days. Stir well before serving as natural separation occurs.
Make-ahead tip: Prepare the watermelon juice base the night before, then add lime juice and honey just before serving.
Substitutions: Use agave nectar or maple syrup instead of honey. For sugar-free, try liquid stevia.
Don’t skip tasting before serving – watermelons have different sweetness levels.
