Description

Rich, fudgy healthy brownies made with just 3 wholesome ingredients – ripe bananas, almond butter, and cocoa powder. These guilt-free treats are naturally sweetened, gluten-free, and ready in just 20 minutes!

Ingredients

Scale

2 ripe bananas, mashed

1/3 cup natural almond butter or peanut butter

3 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper.

2. Mash the bananas thoroughly in a large mixing bowl until smooth with minimal lumps.

3. Add the almond butter and mix until well combined. The mixture should be creamy and uniform.

4. Fold in the cocoa powder until the batter is evenly chocolate-colored with no streaks.

5. Pour the batter into your prepared pan and spread evenly with a spatula.

6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are set but the center is still slightly soft.

7. Let cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

Don’t overbake – these continue cooking as they cool.

Use very ripe bananas for maximum natural sweetness.

Store covered at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerate for up to a week.

These freeze beautifully for up to 3 months.

For nut-free option, substitute sunflower seed butter for almond butter.
